When the weather in January is more like summer than winter it often comes with wind. Windy weather is my least favorite kind of weather, but my sister helped salvage a windy afternoon for us by inviting us to the park to fly kites with her kids. We had such a good time! I know my kids and I are excited to go do it again sometime soon.
I love families. My family is the most important thing in my life, and it is because of them that I was drawn to photography. It started as a child when I would photograph my five siblings and parents until now, when my husband and three children get most of my camera time.
When I photograph families I am looking for the unique bond they have. My goal is to capture them being themselves, as if I wasn't even there. I love what I do, and wouldn't trade it for the world.
You have found the place where I post my most recent work, and a few tidbits about my life. Enjoy your visit, and feel free to leave me a comment or two.
"JULIE THOSE ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! I cannot say Thank You enough. I can't wait to refer other people to you. I love it. These are, with out question, the best pictures we have ever had done! Is there somewhere I can post on how amazing you are? I can't wait to order." Hyrum and Becky Osmond
"I'm not a very photogenic person so I tend to shy away from having my picture taken. I can count on one hand the number of times I've posed for a picture. I've lost a lot of weight recently so I thought it would be nice to get a portrait of my girls and me for my husband. I was delighted with the end result. She came to a local park and took the most amazing pictures. Julie was easy to work with and helped us all stay relaxed and have fun. We had a blast and all felt like models. The resulting body of work speaks for itself." Melissa Stephan Agoura Hills, CA
"Julie, those are just ridiculous!!!!! I LOVE them." Layton Family
"Darrell and I wanted to thank you and your husband for your help in making our day so special. You are an awesome photographer!" Darrell and Marcy Dawe

Beautiful! Love the bright blue sky and the two-toothed grin! My favorite is the sibling snuggle. Very cute, real moment captured on film.
Er, I mean, caught on memory stick. :)
